CMP APPROVED M1 Carbine Match

LOCATION:      Mid Carolina Rifle Club, Columbia, South Carolina. (www.midcarolinarifleclub,com)

ELIGIBILITY:    Open to all competitors eligible to fire in CMP sanctioned matches.

RULES:                Unless modified by this program, current NRA and CMP Rules will apply.  Competitors will score and assist the Range officers as required.  Use of the plug type scoring gauge is restricted to the range officer ONLY. This is a 100 and 200 yard range with no pits. This will be a walk and paste Match.  This Match will be Fired at 100 Yards.

ENTRY FEE:     $20.00 If Match entry form and Match Fee’s are received by January 15^th, 2012. After    

                           that date The Match Fee’s is $25.00. We have no loaner rifles or ammo for this match.

ENTRIES:         Match Capacity is 48 shooters. Advance registration is recommended.  No

                         acknowledgment unless requested. The High Power range has twelve firing points and we

                          will run four relays.If you and a fellow shooter plan to share one rifle please notate

                          this on both your entry forms with name of the Fellow Shooter. I will attempt to

                          keep you on the same target and different relays.

     ENTRY INFORMATION:    Advanced entry mandatory. No refunds will be made for cancellations after January 15^th, 2012. exceptions will be made for emergency situations.

Rifles:              All Rifles used in the M1 Carbine Match must be as-issued U.S. military M1 Carbines that comply with Rule 6.3.5.

AMMUNITION:  Competitors must provide their own ammunitions.  Unsafe firearms or ammunition will be disallowed.

SQUADDING:    This Match will be pre- SQUADED. This will allow the entries that come in early to be  

                          Squadded and the walk up entries will be Squadded at the Entry Table. Table opens at

                        8:00 AM.  Advance entries honored until 7:45 am.  Pits seal 15 minutes prior to

Firing time.  No entries will be accepted after 9:00am.

CHALLENGE:   No alibis or refires because of rifle or ammunition malfunctions are allowed.

SCHEDULE:     The M1 Carbine Match Course of Fire: Total of 40 rounds fired for record.

                        1st: A maximum of 10 Sighting shots in a 10 minute time limit. Your sighting shots may be fired in any position.

                           2nd: Slow Fire in the Prone Position: 10 Rounds fired in a time period of 10 Minutes.

                           3rd:  Rapid fire prone from standing, 10 shots in  a time period of 60 sec. with a reload.       

                                       5 rounds per magazine.

                            4th:Rapid fire Sitting or Kneeling from standing, 10 shots in 60 sec. with a reload.       

               5 rounds per magazine

  5^th: Slow fire standing, 10 rounds in 10 min. 

  AWARDS:      All Shooters will shoot for the CMP Achievement Award Pins.

                          To win a CMP Achievement Pin you must shoot the following scores:

                          M1 Carbine:

                          350 and above = Gold

                          338 – 349         = Silver

                          318 -- 337         = Bronze

   GENERAL:    No food service. Bottle Water will be available on the range.  There will be no lunch break.

                          The range has bathroom facilities.
