High Power Rifle Matches at MCRC are conducted according to Service Rifle Match guidelines; the matches follow CMP and NRA rules and are developed with the service rifle in mind (AR-15, M1A, M1 Garand). However, no one is ever turned away at this fun, reduced range, monthly match! Come out and bring whatever you have from scoped bolt gun to SKS - all are welcome to join in the fun. We fire the NRA national Match Course which consists of 10 rounds standing slow fire; 10 rounds sitting rapid fire; 10 rounds prone rapid fire and 20 rounds prone slow fire. All firing is at 200 yards with reduced targets to simulate the 300 and 600 yard stages. Competitors who shoot in this match will meet the qualifications for CMP issue M1 Garand applications.applications.
Mid Carolina Rifle Club has monthly high-power rifle competitions. The rules are relaxed so bring anything that goes bang and have some fun and fellowship!
