Concealed Weapons Permits

MCRC is actively involved in supporting the right of all law abiding citizens to carry weapons of self defense. To that end, MCRC has developed a working relationship with CWP instructors and local schools. One of the benefits of joining MCRC is free access to CWP classes! These CWP classes are periodically held at the range and are announced at meetings and in the monthly newsletter.

The class is discounted for MCRC members, their spouses, and their dependent children 18 to 23 years of age, living in the same household.  Bring ear protection, eye protection, a handgun, 50 rounds of factory ammunition (NO homemade reloads), and a strong-side belt holster.  Bring a lunch, snacks, and something to drink.  Bring poof of MCRC membership (i.e., a current membership card, or, if you are a new member and your membership card has not been issued by the time of the class, your range briefing form signed and dated.  If you want the printed handouts and the instructors to do your ID work (roll your fingerprints and make a copy of your driver's license), the cost is $20.  If you know anyone who is not an MCRC member but wants to take the CWP class, he or she is welcome to attend.  A non-member’s cost is $80 (covers class, handouts, targets, and ID work).  For additional information, contact Paul.
